What’s your role at RPC?

I am a Managing Director in the legal department, this means that I deal with various legal aspects which affect investments, management portfolio and legal counsel for RPC Spain.

What’s a typical working day for you?

I usually kick off with a general overview of outstanding workstreams and amendments of applicable law in order to check which aspects would require an urgent approach.

I usually spend a good amount of time with various calls and catch-up meetings with colleagues from various departments (M&A, development, construction etc.) and also with external advisors as legal support is always key in several phases of investments and further asset management.

I feel proud and fortunate to work for RPC which has such an ESG vision, it is amazing that RPC stands on various phases (development, construction and further ownership) and different technologies (solar, onshore wind and battery storage projects).

What have you found during your time at RPC?

I found a great team, extremely professional, active, motivated and caring. At the end of the day everything is about people and they are great!

What’s your proudest career moment?

Several M&A deals which turned out to have certain issues which affected signing and/or completion, I like to solve problems and try to get a solution with common sense!

I am also a member of the board of the Spanish Cancer Association which contributes to give support to cancer patients, investigate and prevent.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love spending time with my family and friends, practising sports such as swimming, golf and skiing.

Where’s your favourite place in Europe?

Tricky to choose just one! I love the North of Spain (Asturias, Comillas and the ski resort Baqueira), London and Paris.

What’s your favourite clean technology and why?

Onshore wind, probably because I began advising on renewable assets back in 2006, and the technology felt really exciting at that time.
