What’s your role at RPC?

I am an Energy Storage Engineer at RPC. My main task is to provide technical support to the rest of the team, mainly concerning investment, construction, procurement and development.

What’s a typical working day for you?

I start the day checking my “to do” and priorities lists, in order to set my diary/weekly goals.

After that, I start working on technical documentation related to all the projects I am involved in.

A considerable part of my day is taken up by meetings with technical advisors and developers.

Part of my job is to establish and keep in contact with BESS manufacturers, so that we are using the most updated technology in our assumptions. This is also the case for BoP providers – I usually dedicate a small portion of a week to this task.

What have you found during your time at RPC?

RPC’s team is the most talented I’ve ever met in the energy industry. With completely different backgrounds and a high teamwork culture, it is an environment that definitely supports the achievement of great results.

What’s your proudest career moment?

There are plenty of proud moments – almost all of them took place during technical meetings as that’s where I can best add the value of my experience.

What do you do in your spare time?

I don’t usually have much spare time. When I do, I read the latest news, regulations or technical procedures in our target countries so that I have a better understanding of the future processes.

Where’s your favourite place in Europe?

I really like the rural zones of European countries such as in Portugal, France, the UK, Italy, Switzerland etc.

What’s your favourite clean technology and why?

Energy storage is my favourite technology as it helps to keep the grid within acceptable parameters and makes it possible to achieve a deeper penetration of other renewable energy sources.
