RPC announces Kevin Devlin as new CEO of Renewable Power Capital as Bob Psaradellis steps down

25 April 2023 – LONDON 1100

Renewable Power Capital (RPC), the pan-European renewables company, today announced that Kevin Devlin will take over from Bob Psaradellis as CEO, as the business enters its next stage of growth.

Since its formation in 2020, RPC has committed nearly €1.5billion in investments with a declared pipeline of 6GW. It has established itself as a leading post-subsidy onshore renewables company, with a development presence in Spain, the UK, Nordics and Poland. Last month it reached a significant milestone, taking over the operation of three Finish windfarms and realising its strategy to both invest in, and own and operate, renewable projects.

“Under Bob’s leadership and determination RPC has grown to be a key player in the European renewables market,” said Shaun Kingsbury, Chairman of RPC. “We want to give huge thanks to Bob for his dedication and vision over the past three years. Under his guidance, RPC has built an incredibly impressive team and grown to be one of the most exciting renewables companies in Europe.”

Kevin is a 35-year veteran of the energy industry and is currently a Non-Executive Director of Renewable Power Capital and a Senior Advisor to Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB). Most recently, Kevin was a Senior Vice President at Pattern Energy, a major renewable developer in the USA. He has also held executive leadership positions at Iberdrola Renewables in the US, Scottish Power in the UK, and began his career in energy with Exxon in Europe.

Kevin Devlin said: “It’s a great honour to serve as RPC’s CEO as we continue delivering our vision to accelerate renewable energy deployment across Europe. I have enormous gratitude for the work Bob has done and look forward to building on our success to position RPC as the premier renewable independent power producer in Europe.”

Bob Psaradellis said: “We have established RPC as a major player across European renewables in short order, entering a number of key European markets and building a great team of people.  I am pleased at this point in our growth to hand over the leadership of RPC to Kevin – I have had the pleasure of working with him as a member of RPC’s Board of Directors and am confident he will carry RPC’s values and strategy into the future, serving all of its stakeholders.”

Kevin takes over from Bob with immediate effect.
