High Coast Wind

RPC achieves key milestone in Project High Coast – foundation casting finalized for Knäsjöberget and Storhöjden.

We’re happy to announce the completion of foundation casting at Knäsjöberget and Storhöjden wind farms – two of four projects currently under construction as part of our High Coast wind farm cluster in Västernorrland, Sweden. This marks a key milestone in our construction phase.

“Completing the foundation work is a key milestone and we are now preparing for the next step in our project development—receiving and installing the first wind turbine components. We’re now fully focused on preparing the sites for this delivery, keeping the project on track”, says Per Meijer, Senior Vice President, Development, Nordics.

Final preparations are now underway to prepare for receiving the turbines and we’re on track to begin transportation of the new turbines in early February 2025.

In our work to achieve this milestone, we have ensured compliance with applicable laws and regulations. RPC values securing that our projects are carried out without putting the health, safety, or security at risk of anyone who is involved in Project High Coast or other RPC projects.

By 2026, RPC will have concluded all the works for the 4 wind farms in this cluster, adding an installed capacity of 553,4 MW of green electricity in total – enough to power more than 182,000 homes.
