On Saturday, RPC celebrated the official inauguration of the Klevberget wind farm located in the north of Sweden, in the region of Västernorrland. The inauguration marks the transition from initial construction by OX2 to RPC’s long-term management and development. The event was a collaborative effort that showcased the strong partnership between RPC and OX2, and the support of the local community in the Ånge municipality.
The inauguration event attracted many curious visitors who enjoyed hot dogs, sweets, and musical performances on the Klevberget site. Among the attendees were local residents, landowners, and key project stakeholders who have been integral to the development of the Klevberget wind farm.
The Klevberget wind farm, featuring 24 turbines, is set to produce 455 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually—enough to power approximately 80,000 households. Although the Klevberget wind farm has been operational since 2023, the official inauguration brought together many community members and stakeholders to celebrate this milestone.
Per Meijer, RPC’s Head of Development Nordics, emphasized the importance of the Klevberget project and RPC’s commitment to long-term investments in the region. “We are dedicated to long-term investment and future development in this region, we are committed to staying and growing here for many years to come,” said Meijer.
The successful inauguration of the Klevberget wind farm underscores RPC’s dedication to sustainable energy solutions and community development, Per Meijer concluded, “The close collaboration with community stakeholders and OX2 has been crucial to this project’s success. We look forward to continued development and ensuring the Klevberget wind farm’s positive contribution to the environment and the local community”.
